A new GTA 6 leak recently emerged which indicates that the Grand Theft Auto 6, which reportedly has the codename “Project Americas”, will be much bigger than gamers and loyal fans would have imagined it to be. More than a year ago, a leak about the “Project Americas” gave a slight idea about what one could expect from the new game in the Grand Theft Auto franchise. A lot of things that gamers expect from the game, including it being set in different cities, are a result of that particular leak.
However, since much of the unverified information that has come out contradicts each other, one is really not sure what is true and what is not. In January, a report surfaced online and stated that Grand Theft Auto 6 would primarily revolve around its two protagonists, a male and a female character.
This piece of information contradicts the information in the ‘Project Americas’ leak which stated that GTA 6 will have just one protagonist, a male character named Ricardo. A rumor, which comes across as believable, gets picked up by many people in very little time. Thereafter, if another piece of information comes around contradicting it, people wonder how far can they believe in a piece of information that comes from an unverified source.
The Dexerto reported leak has been sourced out from a 4chan post. Interestingly, this leak also contradicts the information that one stumbled upon in the ‘Project Americas’ leak. On March 29, the anonymous 4chan user put out a post stating that “There will be a total of 5 contiguous ‘cities’ across 5 states,” and “There is the 6th city in another location…”.
What are Some of the Cities in Project Americas Map?
In its leak, ‘Project America’ names only a handful of cities including Vice City and a nameless city that bears a strong resemblance to Rio de Janeiro. Both the leakers have claimed that they have some sort of an association with Rockstar Games which gives them access to such classified information. The ‘Project Americas’ leaker claimed that he has friends who work in Rockstar Games, PC Gamer and Kotaku.
Lots of gamers posted comments or queries after the new leak was released. The 4chan leaker refused to answer any of the queries or reveal his identity. However, he has asserted very confidently that soon enough the claims that he has put across will be corroborated. As of now, there has been no solid evidence to back this claim.
Needless to say, none of the aforementioned information has been confirmed or denied by Rockstar Games. Since the company has a very good track record when it comes to being silent or secretive about its game launches, one doesn’t expect them to spill any beans about GTA 6 in the near future.
