Last month, the FCC certification platform approved a Xiaomi smartphone which went by the model number M2101K9AG. As the FCC documents came to the fore, one got to know a lot of important details about the device. The phone is touted to be the successor to the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite released last year.
The IMEI listing of the device showed that the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G is the moniker by which the device will be known. After FCC approved it, the Xiaomi device received certifications from several other platforms like SIRIM from Malaysia, NBTC from Thailand, EEC from Europe, India’s BIS, and Singapore’s MMDA. Weibo recently carried some leaked images of the device which give one a brief idea about its look and overall design.
In the first picture, one can see the model number (M2101K9AG) listed at the bottom. It is also apparent that the phone operates on MIUI 12 Global, a user interface that is grounded on the mechanism of the Android 11 OS. An octa-core processor, the details of which are not known yet, powers the device and clocks a reading of 2.3Ghz. The SoC features 6GB RAM. In the second picture, one gets to have a good look at the rear end of the device. The phone has a glass back along with a camera module featuring an LED flash and a triple camera setup.
There are rumors about the phone being sold under the name Xiaomi Mi CC11 in the Chinese market. The variant of the phone that will be distributed in China shall have the model number M2101K9C. The phone, which offers 5G connectivity, has already received certification from China’s MIIT authority. The international version has the model number M2101K9G recently received a certification from the IMDA authority.
As per the leaker, the Xiaomi Mi CC11 might just be the first smartphone to come armed with the next-generation Snapdragon 7-series chipset. The chipset will reportedly be called the Snapdragon 775G. One of its most appealing features will be its 4,150 mAh battery.
Another attractive aspect of the device is its cameras. The smartphone will have a 64-megapixel camera with a 5x optical zoom. This is all the information one has about the device at the moment. There is a possibility of Xiaomi making an official announcement about the launch of the smartphone the next month.
