2021 is going to be quite an eventful year for those who admire the Moto G series of phones. The company, which is owned by Lenovo, has a slew of smartphones that are scheduled to hit the market at different points during the year. One of the most prominent handsets that will be launched by the company this year is a smartphone that will run on Snapdragon 800. Interestingly, this will be the first device by the company that will be powered by Snapdragon 800.
While this smartphone has already been introduced in the Chinese market under the name Motorola Edge S, it will be launched globally under the brand name Moto G100. Another talked about a phone that will be launched by the company in 2021 is the Moto G30. Ahead of the launch of the product, a few press renders and information related to the phone have leaked online.
Contrary to what a lot of people believe, the Moto G30 is not the successor or an upgraded version of the Moto G9 which was launched last year. The successor to that phone will actually be arriving in the form of a Moto G10 sometime this year. Perhaps, the rumors were a result of the fact that some of the specifications and features you find on the Moto G30 are quite similar to the ones on the Moto G9.
The leaks were first posted by Winfuture.de and hinted at the presence of a waterdrop notch integrated display screen. The 6.5-inches display screen boasts a resolution of 1600×720. That implies that the size of the display screen is quite similar to the one which Moto G9 has. Moto G30, however, is expected to have a higher refresh rate.
If you really want to draw a comparison between the two phones, you have to check out the rear end of the two devices. While the camera array on the Moto G30 is on the left-hand corner, it is positioned on the right side of the Moto G9. There is a remarkable difference in the design of the two phones as well. Instead of a square-like circle, the Moto G30 features a rectangular structure with curved edges.
The Moto G30 comprises as many as four powerful rear cameras. The primary camera has a resolution of 64MP, there is an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. One of the 2MP cameras occupies a small space inside the main camera structure. The LED flash is positioned closer to that. On the rear end, there is a fingerprint sensor that works quite effectively.
The renders also highlight the fact that the device features a USB-C port. On the right side of the port, you will come across a six-hole speaker grille. A microphone is placed on the left. The topmost corner and the left-hand portion are not visible in the renders but one guesses that’s where the audio jack and the SIM tray will be found. The Google Assistant button, the power button, and the volume control are positioned on the right.
The Moto G30 will run on a Snapdragon 662 processor. One of the models will feature 4GB RAM along with 64GB internal memory. The second variant will have 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The display screen is expected to offer a 90Hz refresh rate. The device will support 20W fast charging and feature a 5000mAh battery and a MicroSD card slot.
