  • Post the launch of the Galaxy A51 smartphone, the company has been working on a 5G variant of the same phone.
  • The new variant has been codenamed SM-A516N.
  • A support page has been created on Samsung’s official website under this codename indicating a launch soon.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy A51 a few months ago. It was a much-awaited model featuring a lot of exciting features. Now there have been some leaks suggesting that a 5G variant of this model may be launched soon. The new variant has been given the code name SM-A516N.

How Can we Confirm the Release of Galaxy A51 5G Smartphone?

A new support page has been launched for this phone with the codename SM-A516N on South Korea’s Samsung website. This indicates that the launch of the model is very close and we will be able to hear new updates and full specifications soon. The support page has only been launched in South Korea as of now. Although there is no concrete evidence that this model number points to the 5G variant, rumor mills are working overtime in proving the same.

A few of the sites have listed Galaxy A51 5G as a variant. Since these listings are done, many customers are eager to see what the new variant has to offer. Even though the full range of specs

is unknown, it would most likely have the same specs of Galaxy A51.

What could be the Possible Specs of the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G?

Since the new variant will feature 5G connectivity, it will need a good processor that can pack so much performance. It is expected that the company might use its own chipset to provide the performance. Exynos 980 is expected to make a debut in this new variant. For those who are expecting the Qualcomm chipset, it may be a disappointment but the Exynos 980 is expected to give the power-packed punch necessary for this phone.

A site that has already listed the new variant is the TENAA. Under specifications sections, it has been mentioned that this variant will be coming up with an Exynos 980 chipset. So, this pretty much confirms the guess. Regarding the other specs, it is expected to follow its predecessor. It is expected that the model will also feature the L shaped quad-cam set up with the primary lens being a 48MP one.

iPhone 12 – Will Apple Do Away with the Notch? Rumor Claims So

Published

  •  An image shows a schematic diagram with the components hidden below the top bezel.
  • There is a 12MP front camera, the proximity sensor, microphone, and speaker and the IR camera.
  • The story requires an official confirmation because, with six months to go for the spring event, it is doubtful the phone is already in existence

An iPhone Without the Notch?

The notch on the display screens of smartphones has always been a subject of debate ever since it was first introduced. The earlier phones used to have prominent foreheads and chins and whatever components had to be housed in them posed no issues. The bezel sizes got reduced to offer maximum real estate on the screen when the user is watching a video or playing games.

Apple brought in the notch in 2017 with the iPhone X. If you go by this claim by Svetapple through its leaked renders, then they have found the evidence within the iOS 14 code that confirms the arrangement where there is no notch in the front display. It may be true, but then it may not be as well.

Design Frozen Do Early?

Going by the normal practice, Apple will first have several designs before it takes its own time to adopt some and rejecting the others. If the event is held in September, the shipments will commence in October. The start of commercial production will not be before July/August at best. This year things have been far from normal. With China in lockdown mode since December 2019/January 2020, major delays can be anticipated. Under these circumstances, it does appear to be a little too early for an iPhone 12 in the finished form to be rendered. If it is one of the design choices being considered by Apple at this stage, it can be taken as a possibility.

This could add to the other new developments in the iPhone 12 models like the ToF 3D sensor and the sensor-shifting camera stabilization feature. There may certainly be more such rumors between now and the time the devices get unveiled by Apple. There are questions on the timing as well and nothing can be said with surety till the Coronavirus issue gets fully resolved.
