It looks like T-Mobile users can rest assured that the Android Oreo update will be available for them soon. This does not mean that every user will get an update on their phone, but that the company has started working on releasing Android 8.0 Oreo for a number of LG smartphones.

Which phones will receive the update?

For those that are wondering, we do not want to keep you guessing any longer. This update is expected to include a large list of devices such as the LG G5, LG V20, LG V30+, LG G6, and the LG V30.

Sadly, the company has not yet revealed the exact date when this update is going to be available but if they announced that they started working on it we can expect it to be pretty soon.

Could we expect the carrier to bring the update to other phones?

It is yet unclear if the phone carrier company has started working on releasing this update to other phones as well. They have not made any new statements about this issue but we are sincerely hoping that they will start working on adding this update to every android phone that can support it.

This is not to say that other phone carrier companies will not try and release Android 8.0 Oreo for a wide range of smartphones in the near future. Actually, we would like to see that as well.

What are our thoughts?

We are more than excited to hear that this process is finally in the works and we will be waiting on the edge of our seats for the new update to come out for all these LG smartphones. This new Android version adds a lot of good features so it would be amazing if many phone users could experience them.
