If you own a powerful Android device, then you might consider playing some old PlayStation 2 games.
The “PS2 Emulator” is already available on the Google Play Store and using it, you can start playing games that were available for PlayStation 2 a few years ago. The bad news is that many of the titles are not optimized yet for this application, but we’re pretty sure that the developers will soon make sure that you will be able to play a vast amount of PlayStation 2 titles on your Android device.
You can also help the developers of PS2 Emulator by reporting bugs and other issues that you encounter while playing PlayStation 2 games on your Android device. Here is a list containing some of the PlayStation 2 games that you can play on your Android device using this emulator: Gran Turismo 2, Tekken 3, Crash Bandicoot: Warped, Final Fantasy VII, Spider-Man, Metal Gear Solid, Tomb Raider III, Driver 2, Dino Crisis, Resident Evil 2 and Crash Team Racing: CTR.
Not All Games Will Be Working
We have to mention that this emulator will NOT be able to run all the games smoothly on weak Android devices. So, if you have a pretty old Android device that doesn’t come with some decent specifications, you might notice that some of the games will not run at all or they will run at a very low FPS.
At the same time, the application doesn’t come with the games included, meaning that you will need to use your real PlayStation 2 games CD’s, turn them into .ISO files and copy them in your device’s SD card. After that, you can simply mount the .ISO file into the PS2 Emulator and start playing PlayStation 2 games on your Android device.
