The Windows 10 OS has been released and it seems that Microsoft has also released the Office 2016 in the meantime. The American multinational technology company headquartered in Redmond is trying to pull its Windows 10 platform together, so that computers, tablets and smartphone will run on the same operating system.
The upcoming Lumia 950 and 950 XL will be released along with the Windows 10 Mobile OS. In July 2015, rumors have surfaced saying that Microsoft will skip the Lumia 940 devices for Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.
According to some previous rumors, it was speculated that Microsoft is planning to release its Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL on October 10. However, it seems that the American multinational technology company decided to change the release date for October 6, 2015. At this event, Microsoft will most likely release the Surface Pro 4 and the Microsoft Band 2.
Lumia 950 is expected to feature a 5.2-inch display which will support a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 565ppi, while the Lumia 950 XL will sport a 5.7-inch display with a higher resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 515ppi.
When it comes to the internal specifications, the Lumia 950 is expected to house 32GB of storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card, it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, which will be backed by 3GB of RAM and a battery of 3000 mAh. The Lumia 950 XL is expected to feature 32GB of internal storage, which supports also expansion with a microSD card, it will be powered by an 64bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, which will be paired with 3GB of RAM and will be kept alive by a battery of 3300 mAh. Both devices will feature a primary PureView camera of 20MP on the rear side and secondary camera of 5MP on the front side.
Microsoft hasn’t confirmed these two devices yet, but we’re sure that the company will come with some news regarding the Lumia 950 and 950 XL at the upcoming event which will be held on October 6, 2015.
