The New Guy
Eh — we’ll all live, right?

Stone Sour have announced that they have parted ways with bassist Shawn Economaki.

And guess what? They’ve already found a new bassist for their ongoing recording sessions. We just don’t know who that guy is.

That there is a picture guitarist Jim Root posted of the guy.

Any one have any guesses?

“Shawn is no longer with us,” says Root.

A lot has happened in the past year…We need to move forward and they’ll be more detail when the time is right,” he adds.

“He’s still a great friend and we’re in touch. But for now we have a mystery dude that shreds filling in for the studio.”

Frontman Corey Taylor also confirmed the news online: “As some of you might have heard but I’ll confirm it: Shawn Economaki is no longer with Stone Sour. We wish him luck in the future.”

Recording for the new one began in March at Sound Farm Studios in Iowa with producer David Bottrill (who has worked with Muse and Tool, among others).
