More details have been revealed regarding the newly-revamped Attika 7, which recently added former Biohazard frontman Evan Seinfeld.
“Attika 7 is a brand new force in the ever-evolving heavy metal world, featuring Evan Seinfeld, formerly of Biohazard, lead guitarist, songwriter and famed motorcycle builder Rusty Coones, bassist Tony Campos, founding member of Static X, who also currently performs in Soulfly, Prong, Possessed, Asesino and Ministry, and drummer Dustin Schoenhofer from Walls of Jericho and Bury Your Dead fame,” the press release reads. Damn, is that a lot to take in at once. And I am not sure Walls of Jericho and “fame” should ever appear in the same sentence.
“Attika 7 will be releasing their debut album later this year and are currently working on their first video for the single ‘Serial Killer,’” the statement adds. “The band describes their lyrics and ideology as genuine and conveys a true American outlaw lifestyle.”
OK, I’m out. This is just going to be a worse version of HellYeah.
“The Attika 7 sound boasts very heavy, down-tuned and melodic harmonies, all the while boasting brutal hooks and grooves,” the statement says. “The band draws from several musical influences, including their own additional projects, and has been compared to the likes of Black Sabbath, Metallica, Godsmack, Pantera, and White Zombie.”
Seinfeld apparently feels that Attika 7 is the beginning of a new chapter. “As much as Biohazard has been the biggest part of my musical past and my main musical focus for more than two decades, it is time for me to do something new,” states Evan. “It is time for me to cement my musical future. I continue to stand behind the ideals projected in songs I wrote like ‘Down For Life’ — and philosophies like standing up for what you believe in no matter what and sticking by your true friends and family to the end! I have so many creative ideas that needed a new home to flourish and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a member of Attika 7!”
I’m shocked Evan knows what flourish means.
