Warriors of Ice
Canadian metallers Voivod will release a new live album, called Warriors Of Ice, on June 17 through Indica Records. The album is already available for digital download, and was recorded on December 12, 2009, during the band’s first headlining show in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in ten years.

Glen Robinson, who previously worked on the band’s Nothingface album, recorded the band’s concert on December 12, 2009, at Club Soda in Montreal, Voivod’s adopted hometown.

Warriors Of Ice features 15 songs, including a remake of Pink Floyd’s “Astronomy Domine,” “making it a must-have release for die-hard Voivod fans as well as a great introductory album for new fans in the making,” a press release says.

What tracks are on the live effort? Well, there’s “The Unknown Knowns,” “Ripping Headaches,” “Tribal Convictions,” “Panorama,” “Global Warning,” “Brain Scan,” and “Nuclear War.”

The band is currently working on new material for their next studio album.
