Sometimes, I wish I lived in Canada. Free healthcare, clean air, picturesque nature, lots of white snow, good bud, and good beer. And on July 23 and July 24, the Canadians will get the Heavy T.O. Festival, the initial lineup for which was released this week.
Who’s playing? Glad you asked.
Megadeth — who seem to play every fucking festival — will take the stage, as will Rob Zombie, Slayer, Anthrax, Mastodon, and the mighty Opeth.
Canadian metallers Anvil will also perform, along with Motorhead, Testament, Children of Bodom, As I Lay Dying, Baptized In Blood, and Gun Shy columnist Jesse Leach’s Times of Grace.
DevilDriver will also be performing, along with the Sword. More bands will be added to the bill in the coming weeks. If you live in Toronto and miss this festival, you’d better jump in a frozen lake next winter.
