This is going to sound weird, because, well, I don’t know how official this is. There’s no mention on the Deathwish, Inc. Web site, and nothing on Lewd Acts’ MySpace page, but there’s a Facebook page claiming Southern Californian hardcore troupe Lewd Acts has thrown in the towel.
Lambgoat is reporting it, and I am only seeing mention of it on this Facebook page. The band did drop off of a tour this spring with Converge…unexpectedly. Here’s what the page says, reading like am obituary for a man named Lou Dax:
“Lou Dax succumbed on June 20th, 2010 to the coma brought on by a head wound sustained in New York City on May 6th,” the statement says. “Lou is survived by his 4 sons. In lieu of flowers, pick up a Lou Dax memorial shirt or record at www.lewdacts.bigcartel.com or www.deathwishinc.com to help his legacy live on. Thank you to everyone who ever listened, saw, helped, or cared about Lou.”
Another one bites the dust.
