Samsung has planned for quite a while to introduce a foldable smartphone to the world. Apparently, the Galaxy X (or Galaxy F) will be more flexible than Samsung’s naming department. Some renders have come to surface and they show us just how this next innovative device might look like.
Let’s start the rumors going
At first, the foldable Galaxy smartphone was rumored at first to be called the Galaxy X. These new renders call it the Galaxy F and they seemingly resulted from deep diving into Samsung’s patents for its folding devices and then the conversion of various schematic designs into rendering gave them their shape.
The Dutch site NieweMobiel along with designer Jonas Dahnert joined together to provide some beautiful renders of what the foldable phone might look like, based on what we know so far.
What will it bring to the table?
At first, we can clearly see that it will be able to fold across its length, making it pocket-friendly. On the other hand, it can stretch out until it resembles the display of a tablet. We can’t see a sign of a joint and that’s why we can expect Mr. Koh, Samsung’s CEO, to stick to his word and that Samsung will truly deliver a completely foldable phone.
The renders exposed the features and apparently, Samsung will place the fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone, although placing it in the front would make for a cleaner, fresher design. Also, it seems that a high-end camera will also be incorporated which you will be able to use in both phone positions – folded and unfolded. The rumored price will be something near $1850 and because of this, we can expect that Samsung will introduce as many feats as possible in the device, to entice buyers.
