On the 7th of March, Samsung is going to release their newest range of 4K QLED TVs at the New York Stock Exchange. This is surely going to be an interesting feat so we are happy to say that we have found some information in advance.
What do we know so far?
For starters, we know that there are going to be four QLED in their newest range of TVs rather than the three that were released last year.
What will they be called? Following last year’s customs, they are going to be named Q6, Q7, Q8, and Q9. Due to people complaining last year that the QLED TVs were too expensive it seems that the Q6 could be Samsung’s affordable QLED TV option.
Moreover, the Q8 and Q9 are going to be the most interesting TVs out of the whole range as they will also have LED lighting behind the screen as opposed to it being around the edges of the TV. It is exciting to hear that the Q8, which is less expensive than the Q9, will also have this feature. Moreover, both of them will have a dimming technology installed, which would mean that the LED will be able to show different levels of light at the same time. Yes, sadly, the Q8 will have less lightning zones than the Q9. That much we know for sure.
LED zones and LED systems
It has been suggested that the Q9 is going to have more than a hundred separate LED zones whereas the Q8 is going to have fewer if any.
However, these two new TVs are going to challenge the market in ways that we have never seen before. Why do we say this? Apart from all the previous features, these two TVs out of the range are going to have an anti-reflection technology that is surely going to attract buyers.
Last but not least, those interested in the Q6 and Q7 may want to know that they will also probably have local dimming, with the Q6 having the least dimming zones out of the whole range.
For those who are interested to find out more about this new exciting range of TVs, we would like to direct you towards the official release that is going to happen on the 7th of March. Until then we have nothing else to add.
