2020 is going to be a big year for Samsung. The company has a long list of smartphones waiting to be released in the coming year, some of which are the Galaxy S11, Galaxy A51, and Galaxy A71. The list doesn’t seem to stop and there are new rumors of another Samsung 2020 launch every other day.
The Dutch tech blog GalaxyClub on Thursday spotted a mysterious new Samsung smartphone with the model number SM-G715. There is very little information available regarding the handset yet as the model number cannot be placed in any recent product line by Samsung.
Samsung SM-G715F Spotted
According to the report, there seem to be two variants of the SM-G715 smartphone. One will be the international SM-G715F and the other will be the European version with the model number SM-G715FN.
The device is being tested with Android 10, which means that the handset will release in 2020. However, it is certain that the new smartphone will be released after the Galaxy S10 since Samsung first releases its flagship lineup of smartphones each year before releasing other devices.
Surprisingly, the SM-G715 model number does not fit into any of Samsung’s existing lineups of smartphones. However, the model number SM-G715F is very similar to the upcoming Galaxy A71, which has the model number SM-A715. This leads us to believe that the SM-G715F maybe something like an affordable variant of the Galaxy S11.
The model number SM-G715F isn’t entirely new to Samsung as there was a smartphone with model number SM-G710 which was launched a few years ago as the Galaxy Grand 2. However, Samsung is unlikely to revive this product line. At the moment, we have to wait for more leaks which could reveal the specifications and tentative release date. But, it seems like Samsung is launching a whole lot of smartphones in 2020.
Samsung’s Expected Timeline for 2020
With a long list of devices expected to release in 2020, it is essential to establish an expected timeline of Samsung launches keeping the rumors in perspective. According to them, Samsung is expected to release different versions of its Galaxy S11 flagship device, a new Galaxy Fold device and a series of Galaxy A smartphones in the first two quarters of 2020. Every other device expected to release in 2020 will, of course, be released after the flagship Galaxy S11.
