The new report from DigiTimes said Apple will start to produce the new 12-inch and 13.3-inch MacBook at the end of Q1 2016 or early in Q2 and start producing 15-inch models in Q3. Apple will reportedly produce 20 million MacBooks as they did last year.
“But despite flat shipment performance, new MacBook and iMac products for 2016 are expected to boost the company’s overall product ASPs, according to sources from the supply chain.”
A previous rumor mentioned the redesigned MacBook Air, which is thinner and has the new display size, 15-inch. The new MacBook line up is going to be equipped with the new processor, Skylake from Intel, Thunderbolt 3, and USB type-C. There is no other information regarding the MacBook development, especially the MacBook Pro design is still the same.
Apple is believed to announce their new MacBook series at Apple event in March.
