After taking into account every rumor, gossip, and leak, we came up with a list of every information we have about the future iPhones.
Probably: Release date and September 2018 announcement
The next phone’s launch has not been announced yet, but the tradition is to see a new iPhone every September, and it is unlikely to change in 2018.
Gossip: It will not be called iPhone 9 but iPhone 11, iPhone X2, or the iPhone X Plus
We are pretty sure there will be no iPhone 9 as it jumped over when iPhone 8, iPhone X and iPhone 8 Plus were revealed in September. However, the names of the new phone vary and we might go for an iPhone XS guess.
The new iPhone X: OLED or LCD?
The budget model of the new iPhone is believed to have an LCD instead of an OLED one in order to cut costs.
This claim is backed up by Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst in early July when he said what we should expect from the 2018 iPhones: a 5.8-inch OLED iPhone, 6.1-inch affordable LCD iPhone, and 6.5-inch OLED iPhone Plus.
Kuo also thinks that there will be no difference to 2018’s iPhone, and it will be the same as the actual iPhone X. Jusy Hong, an analyst at Information Handling Services, backs up this variant by saying that all three new models (including the LCD one), could be expected to look similar to the iPhone X.
The iPhone SE X
Rumors never stop, and they did not pass the awaited followup to iPhone SE.
As stated by some reports, Apple might develop a hybrid phone including iPhone X’s TrueDepth camera system and iPhone SE’s 4-inch-screen form-factor.
Another insight that we have was reported by 9to5Mac.com, and it talks about Olixar’s production of a prototype screen protector for a smaller iPhone that might have slimmer bezels as well. This comes after CAD drawings of a possible iPhone SE2 leaked and landed on TigerMobiles.com and Onleaks.
A new rumor comes as fast as a bullet. Apple might introduce a virtual fingerprint scanner.
There is a little possibility as the technology is not new. It is called Clear ID, and it features in the Vivo X20 Plus UD that made its debut in January in China.
