Now that the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2017 is just around the corner, rumors about an announcement of a new tablet from Apple is forthcoming. If our hunch is correct, we can expect for an iPad Pro 2 anytime soon.
While this conference is mostly focused on new software, anything can happen and we might hear about a hardware announcement this time. Even analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that there is a high probability that one of the three models of an iPad Pro 2 will be at the big event.
So far, here are our observations. The first iPad Pro came out in 2015 and a year later, there came the 9.7-inch model. Apple has also released the fourth generation of iPad Mini and they also have the new 9.7-inch iPad. With the rate the company is going, it is not really surprising if they will again introduce better and newer devices for their iPad line. Another rumor that we are backing up is about the 10.5-inch display being announced. When an Urban Armor Gear casing listing was leaked, it indicated that a new 10.5-inch case will be out in June. Also, there was a report last year, in August, that indeed, work is being done on a 10.5-inch model.
In terms of the price, this is one issue we can hope to work our way. Apple has already lowered the price of the iPad Mini 4 and the new iPad 2017 price is not asking too much. But given the possible specs of the iPad Pro 2, a little increase should be expected.
iPad Pro 2 Specs
Although these are mere speculations, the new iPad Pro will have a better and more powerful processor, perhaps, an A10X 10nm as opposed to the A9X processor of iPad Pro. It might have a higher resolution than the current 9.7-inch iPad Pro. As for the camera, we are looking for the same 12-megapixel or higher. Chances are, we can expect something more from the iPad Pro 2.
In the last few months, there have been talks and we really don’t know if the newest iPad Pro 2 rumors are true. Fortunately, in a few more days, at the WWDC, we will find out.
