A few days back, there were leaks of a Moto Razr flip phone with the golden shade motif with the suggestion that the company may launch this as an additional color. As you are aware, the Motorola Razr is a model already available in the market, launched last November. Since the model name is the same as the nostalgic feature phone of yesteryears, this foldable smartphone is referred to as Motorola Razr 2019. The Blush Gold color gives the device a luxurious appearance in the hands of the user and the fashion-conscious women may want to own a piece of this gadget, just for its looks.

No Change in the Price

The Motorola Razr is being sold at $1499.99 in the Noir Black color, the only color it has been released in. This price is considered way too high by many simply because it comes fitted with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710SoC and a battery that is just 2510mAh. This, at a time when the other foldable phones are looking at the Snapdragon 855 SoC and battery sizes of 5,000mAh have become the norm in the market. However, the latest communication from the company is that the Motorola Razr 2019 (or will it be 2020) to be released this spring in the Blush Gold color will also be sold at the same $1499.99 price.

6.2-inch Main Display; 2.7-inch Secondary Display

The Motorola Razr 2019 has retained the same form factor of the old device with a prominent chin at the bottom on which the top portion folds and rests making it a smooth surface on both sides. With the Blush Gold color, the chin and the entire rear, when fully open, will sport the color. When folded, the two sides will look identical with only the 2.7-inch display and the rear camera occupying the panel.

The Blush Gold color has more copper tinge to it rather than the plain golden shade, but as shades go, it should be acceptable to many.

Motorola possibly didn’t want to fiddle with the form factor of the old model and retain the thickness the same. This might have been one of the reasons for the new device’s battery being very low in power. Fitting in a larger battery would have meant a thicker phone and in the bargain, it would have resulted in an ungainly appearance and difficult to sell to the public.

It is now for the market to speak whether this Motorola Razr flip phone is a success or not.
