Motorola Moto Z2 Play and ZTE Nubia Z17 are two rumored smartphones that are expected to be soon released. Today we will compare these two handsets using the rumored specifications that we currently have, so that you will know which one of them you will prefer once they will hit stores.
Displays and Designs
The Motorola Moto Z2 Play is expected to come with a 5.5-inch super AMOLED display that will support a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 401 ppi. Likewise its predecessor, it will come with a super-smooth glass back and an aluminum frame, it will have a prominent rear camera and the leaked images show that the fingerprint sensor will be redone. On the other hand, the display of the ZTE Nubia Z17 will have the same size and it will support the same resolution, but it will be an IPS LCD one. As for its design, we’re expecting a full metal body, curved on the edges and with a vertical dual-lens camera and a fingerprint scanner under it.
Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM
The Motorola Moto Z2 Play will be powered by a Qualcomm MSM8953-Pro Snapdragon 626 chipset that will support an octa-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, an Adreno 506 graphics card and 4GB of RAM. The ZTE Nubia Z17 is expected to feature a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 chipset, a quad-core Kryo processor clocked at 2.35GHz and a quad-core Kryo processor clocked at 1.9GHz, an Adreno 540 graphics card and 6GB or 8GB of RAM.
The Motorola Moto Z2 Play will most likely be released with an internal storage of 64GB, while the ZTE Nubia Z17 will come in two internal storage variants of 64GB and 128GB. However, you will be able to expand the storage on these two devices up to 256GB using a microSD card.
The Motorola Moto Z2 Play sports a primary camera of 12MP that features dual-LED flash, phase detection and laser autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, auto-HDR, panorama, face detection and a secondary camera of 5MP. The ZTE Nubia Z17 has a dual-primary camera of 16MP that features phase detection autofocus, OIS, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, panorama, touch focus and a secondary camera of 8MP.
Both devices will be powered by a non-removable battery of 3000 mAh.
