Motorola Moto X Pure Edition Finally Got the Android 7.0 Nougat Update

The most recent X-series smartphone from Motorola has been released, launching a Moto X4. It is the best one so far, but we’re here to talk about one of its predecessors: the Motorola Moto X Pure Edition, also known as Moto X Style, which was launched two years ago.

Motorola Moto X Pure Edition Finally Gets Some Love

For those who own one of those babies, we’ve got some great news! It has received the Nougat update. If you’re not familiar with the smartphone, then imagine it was the leader of the market back then with amazing flagship specs.

Finally there is a new operating system on Motorola Moto X Pure Edition, because since it got launched, it only received the last update a year ago, when they included some fixes. This means that so far the smartphone hasn’t received bug fixes or security patches, which disappoints a lot of users.

But with the recent Nougat update the Moto X Pure Edition has a new security patch – the September 2017 version. Before getting it, the smartphone was running on the September 2016 security patch. So there are smaller risks of virus attacks.

Users that own a Motorola Moto X Pure Edition are very happy that they can finally use Android Nougat and enjoy all the new features. Unfortunately, the update is Android nougat 7.0, instead of the next build, the Nougat 7.1.1. This has made a lot of people angry, because it seems that Motorola disregards its clients when it comes to updating their devices – similar to what happened with the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus.

So far, the update has rolled in the U.S. states, but it will soon be available in other regions. It will come as an OTA (over the air update) and before you start updating it, make sure your battery is at least 60% for the process to successfully finish.
