Motorola is planning to bring out its next mid-segment Moto G8 Plus smartphone. Ahead of its launch, a German site WinFuture has shared images and key specifications of the new phone. The specifications clearly point to a mid-range device with decent features. Though the cost has not been disclosed, it is expected that Motorola will price it competitively and hope to capture the market. The company will particularly focus on some countries like Brazil.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC will be the Processor
The Moto G8 Plus is expected to come with a large 6.3-inch IPS Full HD+ display with screen resolution reading 2280x1080pixels and a notch on top for its front camera. It will have arear panel made of scratch-resistant glass. The phone is anticipated to have a slightly broad bottom, an octa Qualcomm Snapdragon 665SoC processor and 4GB RAM. The handset is expected to have storage in two variants, 64GB and 128GB. It is likely to have a dedicated or hybrid slot to expand storage with a microSD card. The operating system will be Android Pie, version 9.0.
Impressive Camera and Battery
Coming to the optics section, there will be a 48MP primary sensor with 16MP wide-angle lens that can cover 117° field view. The third shooter of Moto G8 Plus will comprise a 5MP depth sensor. On its rear panel, the camera module will have a dot sized laser-based autofocus system. The front camera for selfies housed inside the notch will be 25MP.
Moto G8 Plus will support a 4,000mAh battery that should offer sufficient power to last a whole day, if not more. It appears to be quite thick and weighs188gms. Interestingly, the 3.5mm audio jack will be still present.
According to the report, there will be two color options, blue and red, along with multiple connectivity choices and sensors.
There is the expectation that Motorola is planning to officially launch this Moto G8 Plus in Brazil on October 24. This may be followed by a release in European countries.
As indicated, there is no prediction on the price at which this new phone will be sold in different markets.
