Motorola Moto G6 Plus is getting close to launch date but even before its official announcement, there are many instances of the phone’s design and specifications getting leaked online.
The latest information comes from a trusted source, as the G6 Plus was spotted in Geekbench results which revealed the hardware specifications of the smartphone. The specs sound very promising and it is confirmed that this will be a mid-range smartphone from Motorola powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
Moto G6 Plus Hardware Specifications
Based on the information that we know so far, the Moto G6 Plus will be the most powerful smartphone in the Moto G6 family. Every year, the manufacturer launches a series of smartphones and each one of them will have different specifications. The variety allows them to provide an able device for customers at different price points and hardware specifications.
The benchmark results confirmed that the G6 Plus will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor combined with 4GB of RAM. The 2.21 GHz processor is more than capable of handling everyday tasks and should allow you to use every app and game without any lag issues. It has eight 64-bit cores and should support advanced features like Google Lens but Motorola is yet to confirm it officially.
An Efficient, Flagship Device
While Motorola has flagship models that are more expensive like the Moto Z models, the Moto G6 Plus is the flagship device in the MOTO G family of smartphones. The phone sports a lightweight design making it easy to use with one hand despite the large screen size and it is also expected to have an 18:9 aspect ratio with a bezel-less display.
The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box and is expected to get upgraded to Android P later this year once Google officially brings the operating system out. Motorola has a great track record of updating their smartphones quickly.
Motorola has already sent out the invites for an event on April 19 in Brazil. This phone is most likely to be officially announced during the event, along with other a few other smartphones in Moto G6 Series and hopefully in Moto E5 family as well. The early announcement during mid-April will avoid clashing with other big releases in the industry by other manufacturers. It is going to be a short wait before the Moto G6 Plus along with Moto G6 and G6 Play get officially announced.
