Motorola Moto E3 vs. Motorola Moto E4 – Best Specs and Improvements Comparison

The Motorola Moto E3 has been released in September 2016, while the Motorola Moto E4 is about to be launched this month. Today we will compare these two devices and let you decide if you want to wait for the Motorola Moto E4 to be launched or just go to the store right now and purchase the Motorola Moto E3.

Designs

The Motorola Moto E3 measures 143.8×71.6×8.5mm and weights 140.6 grams. It has a plastic back that’s curved on the edges and there’s a vertical strip camera module in the upper middle, with the familiar dimple below that has the M logo printed inside. On the other hand, the Motorola Moto E4 is thicker and heavier as it measures 144.7×72.3×9.3mm and weights 151 grams. Motorola has revamped the design of the latest model by adding two slim lines at the top and bottom of the back and the rear camera is now larger and circular.

Displays

Both devices come with an IPS LCD display of 5-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 294 ppi.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The Motorola Moto E3 features a Mediatek MT6735P chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.0GHz, a Mali-T720 graphics card and 1GB of RAM. The Motorola Moto E4 has a Mediatek MT6737 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.3GHz, a Mali-T720 graphics card and 2GB of RAM.

Storages

The Motorola Moto E3 comes with an internal storage of 8GB, which you can expand up to 32GB using a microSD card. The Motorola Moto E4 has a larger internal storage of 16GB, which you can expand up to 128GB using a microSD card.

Cameras

When it comes to cameras, it seems that Motorola has decided to don’t change anything. In other words, the devices sport a primary camera of 8MP that features LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, touch HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 5MP.

Batteries

The Motorola Moto E3 and Motorola Moto E4 are powered by 2800 mAh batteries, which can be removed (replaced).

Conclusion

As you can see, Motorola has decided to keep the Moto E4 almost identical to the Moto E3. While the Moto E4 is slightly more powerful than the Moto E3, we think that many users will decide to purchase the device that has been released last year.
