Motorola Confirms Moto G6 Series Launch Event on April 19th

The time has come for Motorola fans who were eagerly looking forward to the big launch of the new Moto G6 series models for 2018. The Moto G6 and other models in the series, namely Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play are expected to be unveiled at the grand launch event scheduled to be held this month.

Motorola has carved a name for itself by offering affordable mid-range and entry-level smartphones. While they do have the Moto Z and similar flagship models, people are hooked to the Moto G series ever since the first Moto G got launched way back in 2013.

Grand Launch Event in Brazil

Motorola has confirmed that the Moto G6 series models will be launched in a grand event to be held at Sao Paulo, Brazil. The event is expected to take place on April 19th during which the company will unveil all their future models. Based on numerous leaks, we have managed to see the shell and the overall design of the upcoming Moto G6 models. The company has a massive fan base in countries like Brazil, India which is why they continue to host these launch events in these locations.

Moto G6, G6 Play, G6 Plus Hardware Specifications

The Moto G6 will sport a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixel. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 450 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space. It houses a 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel dual camera setup in the rear and a 16-megapixel selfie camera in the front. The phone has a fingerprint sensor, audio jack and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

On the other end, the G6 Play has a similar 5.7-inch display with a lower 1440×720 resolution. The phone will use an Octa-core Snapdragon processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The Moto G6 Plus is the biggest of the lot as it sports a large 5.93-inch display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixel and powered by Snapdragon 630 processor with 6GB of RAM. It will have 64GB of storage space and use a 3,200 mAh battery.

Going Bezel-Less with Max Vision Display

The Moto G6 series phones are all expected to sport a bezel-less display known as Max Vision technology and will use Gorilla Glass 3 for improved durability. Motorola is also rumored to implement Face unlock feature and users should be able to create animated emojis on the Moto G6 model.

Moto G6 Series Pricing and Availability

According to leaked reports, the Moto G6 is expected to be priced at $300, the Moto G6 Play at $199 and the Moto G6 Plus will be priced at $350. The pricing will vary based on the region you live in and the company always focuses on offering them at affordable price points in developing markets like India and Brazil.
