The next flagship from Motorola will be the Moto Z4 and though there have been a lot of rumors earlier about the possible specifications etc. latest renders have cleared at least some of the specs.
Not Many Changes Made in the Phone’s Appearance
To begin with, the water drop notch on the top of the display screen is definitely present. The company has retained the camera bump in the rear as well, from the Moto Z3. The renders have images of all sides of the phone confirming that the 3.5 mm audio jack is provided at the bottom and the power button and the volume rocker are placed on the right side. The SIM tray is on the top edge alongside the speaker. You can’t miss the USB-C type charging port either in the bottom edge.
If something is missing, it is the fingerprint sensor in the rear. Will Motorola provide an in-display sensor? You may have to wait to get a confirmation on that. The renders also indicate there will only be a single camera in the rear. This might surprise many since the market is flooded with smartphones having dual and triple camera setups. But it is likely that the single shooter might be a 48MP one.
Speculations on the CPU
One anxiety among the Moto fans has been whether Motorola will go ahead and fit the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, the latest chip, on its flagship Moto Z4. This issue has gained interest since the last year Motorola held its hand back fitted an older generation CPU. But if you trust the leaks earlier, it is more than likely that the Moto Z4 will sport the latest chipset from Qualcomm. There is another perspective to it. The expectation is that the users of this new phone may opt for the 5G Moto Mod and if they do, then only the 855 SoC from Qualcomm can handle the high data speeds.
At this stage, the specs like RAM and storage to be provided on the Moto Z4 are mere conjectures. However, if some of the specs already discussed above are indeed true then the RAM won’t be less than 4 GB and the storage possibly will start at 64 GB. You can expect that alongside the Moto Z4, Lenovo will release a Moto Z4 Play as well.
The launch of this phone is slated for the first half of the year. Await the announcement soon.
