Last week, we got the chance to discover a high res picture of the Moto Z2 Play device, together with an ad that showed we will see the unveiling of the device on the first of June. Even though the phone was not made official yet, people are already disappointed with the fact that Lenovo decided to rely on a 3000 mAh battery for this particular device. This means that the battery is smaller than the one used for the original Moto Z Play, which was a 3510 mAh one.
Among other changes, we can see that the company used the Snapdragon 626 CPU instead of the 625 model that was found on the Mot Z Play. Even though it has a lower capacity battery, the Moto Z2 Play still offers a good battery life for the users.
As we previously mentioned, last week we got the chance to see some pictures of the Moto Z2 Play retail box. The first thing we can notice is the fact that the bright red color stands out. On the front part of the box you can see that it is written “Moto Snaps”, which is simply the Spanish version for the “Moto Mods”. This means that we get to see a comeback of the modular accessories for the second year in a row.
On the side, you can see the Lenovo brand marked there, while inside the box there is a plastic display cover showing the 5.5 inches and 1080×1920 pixels resolution. The home button, which has an oval shape, now includes the fingerprint scanner. On the back we can see the 12 MP camera. Regarding the specs, the device relies on 4 GB RAM, paired with 64 GB of native storage. Moreover, the battery charges pretty quick, so you don’t have to worry about that.
