Android Nougat has been rolling out to smartphones around the world at a painfully slow, dragged out and overall tedious pace. Even though the new Android O is scheduled to launch this fall, Android Nougat still hasn’t made it to all the phones that were scheduled to receive it. This huge time discrepancy is caused by something called fragmentation, which basically happens because mobile carriers and companies have to independently handle the coding necessary for their phones to receive the updates.
Needless to say, this process takes up a lot of time and resources. Fortunately, it will all end when Android O launches. Android O was developed alongside Project Treble, an ambitious Google endeavor that aimed to end fragmentation for good and succeeded in doing so. This is great news, because it means that Android users will finally enjoy the swift and timely OS updates that Apple users have been benefitting from for a while now.
But enough about that, we’re here to talk about the Moto X Force getting its update. The month of June has seen quite a few makes and models of Moto smartphones get upgraded to the latest Android, namely Android Nougat. And now it’s time for the Moto X force to follow suit and receive the new mobile operating system. You know how that old saying goes, better late than never.
After Moto X Force devices will get the new Android Nougat, it will have a brand new interface and notifications panel, as well as a completely new and improved way for users to interact with their phones. What is more, Android Nougat also makes phones incredibly optimized for multitasking thanks to the multi-window feature, as well as the smart app switch it comes with. So if you own a Moto X Force, it’s time to get excited.
