Motorola was the first company to make a bulgy phone, decades ago, and they made sure their legacy lived on with some amazing smartphones in the past as well as the present. The Moto Razr is one popular flip phone of the past which is coming back with a bunch of new age features to satisfy the modern smartphone buyers.
Designed to be a stylish and powerful mid-range device, the Moto Razr is expected to have a large 6.2-inch display. The display will not be available all at once unless you flip the phone open and access the full-screen real estate available. The phone’s hardware includes a mid-range SoC the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 which is more than adequate for your daily tasks.
Leaks are pretty common these days that we already managed to uncover the hardware specifications of the phone. However, this is the first time that a rendered video of the model has been spotted online which gives a more in-depth look of how the upcoming Motorola Razr phone will look like. It was actually made by a fan and is not the official version. The teaser video was first published on a popular technology news website Engadget and sources confirmed that the video is inspired by a press render demo Lenovo showcased recently.
Motorola was also spotted filing a patent for the flip phone and going by the series of leaks from the official press kit, it looks like the Razr is possibly close to launching than ever. The model is expected to be available in three different color variants including red, blue and black. When you flip the phone, you will gain access to the full 6-inches of display whereas when closed, there will be a small display to provide you quick access to notifications.
The only drawback so far seems to be the pricing of the device. Samsung followed a similar trend and priced their Fold phone at $2000. Motorola is almost there as the Razr flip phone which uses a foldable display will cost about $1,500 if inside sources are to be believed. It is definitely not something the average buyer could opt for. Besides, Samsung has already recalled all their phones to fix some manufacturing defects and the launch date for the Galaxy Fold phone has been postponed.
In terms of specifications, the Motorola Razr will sport Snapdragon 710 chip with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space. The OLED 6.2-inch display will have a resolution of 2142 x 876 pixels and the alternate display on top of the cover will be equally large with a resolution of 600 x 800. Another variant of the phone will bump up the specs with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for power users.
