Moto E4 Plus vs. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 – Best Features And Specs Comparison

Two of the best affordable smartphones on the market that still feel like they’re premium devices are the Moto E4 Plus and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. This is also because Motorola and Xiaomi are two of the best companies to produce devices within this affordable yet premium mid-range niche. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has been around for a while now, while the Moto E4 Plus is newer and just now caused a lot of interest among users. So is one better than the other? Let’s find out together.

The Comparison

As far as design goes, both the Moto E4 Plus and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 are incredible devices, but in different ways. While the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is certainly the more premium-looking of the two with its sleek full metal body, the Moto E4 Plus is also suave with a metal chassis and a perfectly polished and rounded rear that makes it charming when held.

However, the specs department is where the true battle between the Moto E4 Plus and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 all takes place. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has a considerably better Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset which totally outruns the Moto E4 Plus’ simple and convenient MediaTek MT6737. However, the Moto does have a bit more RAM with its 3GB, while the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has only 2GB.

But having less RAM doesn’t mean that a phone performs worse. If you think about it, iPhones never have more than 2 or 3GB of RAM and they’re still the best smartphones on the market. It’s not about the RAM amount, it’s about how well the parts go together and optimize the phone for usage. So the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 wins here, there’s no doubt about it.
