Motorola has been around ever since the first mobile phones reached the general public. In fact, many of the first such devices were made by Motorola. By far their most popular line was that of flip phones, and everyone born in the 90s remembers that annoying, yet catchy “Hello Moto” ringtone that their phones came with. Well, Motorola is still doing well in 2017 in the smartphone age.
In fact, they’ve released quite a lot of new phones this past year, seriously expanding their line. One of these recent additions is the Moto E3, which many are saying that is comparable to the slightly older Moto G3. Today we’re considering this affirmation and deciding whether or not the Moto E3 is just like the Moto G3 or if they’re actually different.
Design and Display
As far as design goes, the newer Moto E3 is a lot more elegant and refined than the Moto G3. If anything, it looks more like the newer Moto phones in the G line. And as far as display goes, both phones have a 5-inch screen with the same kind of Gorilla Glass on top, as well as the same resolution and pixel density.
Hardware and Specs
Here is well the true battle begins and where the true comparison takes place. So, what about their specs? Both phones have the same battery life because their batteries are the same. The Moto G3 actually performs a bit better with its Snapdragon chipset, which is known to be better than MediaTek. It also has a variant with slightly more RAM, because the E3’s 1GB is simply too little.
Both the Moto E3 and the Moto G3 sport more or less the same specs, but the Moto G3 performs a bit better, surprisingly enough.
