Motorola has been hard at work creating and upgrading their different lines of smartphones. If we recently saw them release some new models for their Moto E and Moto G lines, today we will be talking more about their latest updates in the Moto C and Moto Z series. So far there is not a lot to go on since the Lenovo owned company did not make any announcements giving up the details of these phones but we did find some renders surface online which tell us some things.
It will not be long until we either hear something from the company or see another leak surface on the internet. Either way, we are happy with what we can get since it gives us a good image of what to expect.
All about Moto C2 and Moto C2 Plus
From the renders that have been leaked, Motorola is working on adding some other models to their C line. From these renders, we only got more details about the design of these phones, but this is enough to give us an idea of what we can expect. Since these phones are meant to be mid-range options for users to purchase, we do not expect to be wowed by the specs of these phones. They will probably contain just the right amount of storage and RAM to satisfy the average consumer.
Now, the design of the C2 and C2 Plus does look incredibly similar to the model of the Moto E4. What seems to have changed is the fact that the C2 and C2 Plus do not have the antenna bands that we saw with E4. The front end of the phone shows us a screen with thick bezels on the top and the bottom. This suggests that the company is going to stick with the 16:9 aspect ratio that we have gotten accustomed with and, due to the bezels, it will be very unlikely to see an 18:9 aspect ratio. On the right side of both smartphones, we can see the volume rocker and the power button.
Now, the phones do look similar but there is a difference between the two, and we are going to talk more about that. One such example is the fact that the C2 Plus has a home-button embedded fingerprint sensor whereas the Moto C2 has a logo in place of the home button.
Camera wise, both of these phones will come with just one camera on the rear end plus one camera on the front end, both of these cameras being paired with an LED flash as well. We also know that both of these phones will have selfie modules.
So far we do not know other details concerning the processor chipset of each phone, the amount of RAM that we will get to see or even the internal storage GB amount. However, if last year’s release of the Moto C and Moto C plus is anything to go by then we may get to see the C2 and C2 Plus being launched sometime this May. However, we still have not heard anything from Motorola regarding the release date so it may be pushed back towards June.
Moto Z3 Play Latest Details
It is now time to draw our attention towards yet another phone that Moto is working on. One of the color variants of the smartphone has already been leaked by a Twitter account, and it is called ‘Deep Indigo.’ We would first like to talk about the display of the phone. From what we have seen in different renders, the phone will come with a bezel-less 18:9 aspect ratio. The home button is absent from the front end of the phone. The fingerprint sensor will be placed on the right side of the phone below the volume keys.

Sadly enough we will probably not get a 3.5mm headphone jack with this smartphone. Despite that, we will see a dual camera setup on the back, rumored to be a 12MP and 8MP camera lenses. On the front end, the phone has a 5MP camera lens. Both camera setups also come with an LED flash. Apart from the dual cameras that are showcased on the back end, the back itself will have a glass design. It remains to be seen how durable that glass is going to be.
The size of the display is going to be a 6-inch Full HD+ one. Under the hood of the phone, we will see the Snapdragon 636 processor chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and either 32 or 64GB of internal storage, depending on the choice of the user when he or she makes a purchase. We also have to mention the fact that the phone will be coming with Android Oreo out of the box, which leads us to speculate that shortly Moto Z3 Play may be on the list of phones to get the Android P upgrade.
Last but not least, the size of the battery is going to be 3,000mAh. This means that with one full charge we may be getting almost a full day of coverage with mixed data usage.
We cannot wait to hear new details about this phone, including the possible release date and the availability. We are guessing that Motorola will launch the Z3 Play along with the Z3, but we still do not know when that is going to take place exactly.
