Microsoft is one of the biggest and most relevant tech companies in the current device and software landscape. They offer a multitude of products, which is an amazing advantage that not many tech companies possess. Right now, Microsoft is most notorious for the Microsoft Surface Pro hybrid tablet to laptop line that is getting a brand new addition. The Microsoft Surface Pro was announced officially on May 23rd of this year, and it’s bound to hit stores very soon. We’ve discussed all that in a previous article, so go check that out if you want to.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is not what we’re here to discuss today. Today we will take a look at the Microsoft Surface Phone, or at least the rumors of it. The Microsoft Surface Phone doesn’t officially exist, so keep that in mind and take all you read from here on out with a grain of salt. These rumors might be true, but take them for their entertainment value for the moment being because nothing said here is set in stone.
2018 Launch for the Microsoft Surface Phone
In October of last year, Microsoft held an official event to announce a couple of things, as tech companies usually do. The rumors of the Microsoft Surface Phone appeared right before it, and many claimed that it will be announced at said event. However, the Microsoft Surface Phone was not announced by Microsoft reps at the October event, and the company has kept radio silence on the topic since.
But now new rumors finally appeared, and they claim that the Microsoft Surface Phone is coming in 2018. Seeing as how Microsoft still hasn’t given any official statement on it, we are inclined to believe that, if that’s the case, the Microsoft Surface Phone will come in the second half of 2018.
