Microsoft is restless when it comes to innovation, technology research and modifications to its devices. It is the reason why the company decided to reconsider its subscription, namely the Consumer Reports. Microsoft has reasons to be a little upset due to the recent events regarding the Microsoft Surface Laptop and Microsoft Surface Book.
Apparently, the two Microsoft Surface products have been “retracted” from the recommended section. The devices aren’t suitable for the people’s top 2-in-1 hybrid choices. People are claiming that the price isn’t worth their money because the device did not live up to their standards. But paradoxically, the Consumer Reports was gathering reviews about these devices when the products didn’t even hit the market. So Microsoft has every right to be annoyed.
Microsoft’s tablets and notebooks aren’t very reliable, Microsoft Surface Laptop and Surface Book even occupy the last position in people’s choices, Consumer Reports stated. Moreover, they don’t trust the company’s devices and a reason for it is the fact that almost 30% of the people who have bought the two Surface products encountered problems in the first two years of their ownership.
Number one in people’s choices are Apple, followed closely by Samsung (with 5% less).
Another thing that affected Microsoft’s products reliability is the fact that the “2017 Winter Product Reliability Survey” only covers the first three months of 2017. Microsoft’ Surface Laptop was released only 2 months ago and during the survey week only the Surface Book was available. The low ratings Surface devices received are probably there not only because of the battery life and sleep issues, but also because of the overheating ones.
But there aren’t only disadvantages when owning a Surface Laptop or Surface Book. It is said that the devices have some pluses when it comes to stability and design.
