Microsoft Office has finally arrived for Mac with tons of different features for its Office Suite. According to Microsoft, the latest releases will be incorporating some highly requested features, bug fixes, and new additions for Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.

Office 365 subscribers can take advantage of a new AutoSave feature starting with Word. This will be applicable when working with SharePoint and OneDrive files, which automatically saves the documents even as users are busy working. This will be similar to the auto-save products such as Google Docs, which can also be deactivated in program settings.

Collaboration and sharing real-time are also new for Word. Thus, subscribers to Office 365 can co-author with other users for SharePoint and OneDrive files. The process of sharing SharePoint files and OneDrive for Business with colleagues can also be streamlined.

A series of new chart types will be added by Microsoft to be embedded in Word documents, such as Box & Whisker, Histogram, Pareto, Sunburst, and Waterfall. According to Microsoft, the charts are designed to enable quick visualization for common statistical, hierarchical, and financial data.

At the same time, the Excel spreadsheet of Microsoft will also benefit from the collaborative features as those built into Word. So, users can edit workbooks stored in SharePoint and OneDrive simultaneously.

PowerPoint users can now use the new Presenter View, which displays the timer, current slide, next slide, and speaker notes, while projecting the presentation only to your audience on the huge screen. It is also packed with the Animation pane to be able to fine-tune and design your animations easily.

OneNote users can also take advantage of the digital notebooks accessible via any device. You can even find things faster with the powerful search engine to track your tags, recognize text in handwritten and texts in images, and index your typed notes.

You can now get the Office 2016 for Mac with the 365 subscription with a one-time purchase. It is offered for home and business use. You can also try Office for free by logging into the Microsoft website.
