Chinese phone maker Meizu is set to launch its next smartphone, the Meizu Note 9. Some details about the phone have been leaked by the company’s CEO Jack Wong in a post. The details are not complete and more features of the phone may keep coming out in the weeks to follow. Here are the specifications and features revealed so far.
A New Qualcomm Processor
Qualcomm has developed a new processor the Snapdragon 6150, keeping the mid-segment phones in view and it is likely that the Meizu Note 9 will be the first smartphone to be fitted with this processor. Taking into consideration that the predecessor Meizu Note 8 already has a display above 6 inches, you can expect that the Meizu Note 9 would sport a display that is around 6.25 to 6.4 inches. The bezels are practically missing offering a full screen for display. There is the water drop notch on top of the screen as seen from the leaked sketches of the phone. The processor hints that the display will be a full HD+ one. On the RAM too, the Meizu Note 8 had 4 GB RAM. You should expect the Meizu Note 9 to have 6 GB RAM at least.
On the camera front, as indicated, there will be a large 48 MP shooter for the rear camera. Only a couple of other models have been fitted with this large sized camera. The battery too is going to be a high powered one with 4000 mAh being suggested as the size. In other information, there is the fingerprint sensor in the form of a button on one side of the leaked Meizu Note 9 image.
It will be interesting to know what the processor does to the new phone since there is a very little database to comment on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6150 SoC. The only information is from the Geekbench where the processor recorded scores of 2598 on single core and 5467 on multiple cores.
Smartphone buyers would be keen to know when Meizu plans to launch this new device and in which markets. The other important information awaited is the pricing of this phone.
The wait may not be very long.
