Meizu Note 8 Page Live on its Website Ahead of October 25 Launch

Beijing Performing Arts Center will be the venue when Meizu will make an official announcement of its next flagship, the Meizu Note 8. The company has opened a page on its site for people to add their names while the invite for the October 25 event is also out. The company has posted a teaser about the new device that includes a definition for NOTE, National Optical Technology Expert with the first letters of each word in a different color.

Specifications of Meizu Note 8 Revealed

Many details of the device to be released are out. The Meizu Note 8 will sport a 6-inch display that will be full HD+, the screen resolution being 2160 x 1080 pixels. The minimal bezel display will have an aspect ratio of 18:9. An octa-core processor that clocks 1.8 GHz speed is likely to be the main CPU and the RAM support will be of the magnitude of 4 GB. The internal storage of the Meizu Note 8 is predicted to be 64 GB. It is understood that the new flagship from Meizu will come pre-loaded with the Android Oreo version 8.1.

In the camera section, the rear will see a dual camera setup with a 12 MP sensor plus an 8 MP secondary shooter and the front one for selfies will be rated at 8MP. A 3,500 mAh battery will provide the power under the hood.

Pricing and the Other Phone

Though much of these details have emerged about the Meizu Note 8 ahead of the launch event which is just 5 days away, there is no official confirmation of the price of the phone. The likely figure floating around is CNY1,000 to CNY1,500 ($145 -$217).

Besides the Meizu Note 8, the other phone to be released in the same event would be the Meizu V8 about which the full details have already been made public.

The launch of the Meizu Note 8 in China may be followed by its release in the other markets as well, though what kind of pricing is maintained for the other markets is still not very clear.
