Even as the Chinese manufacturer is gearing up for the official launch of their new device the Meizu Note 8, a lot more details have emerged about the phone. The phone’s full specifications can now be further confirmed as authentic.
The Meizu Note 8 will have precise dimensions of 153.64 mm x 75.56 mm × 7.95 mm and its weight will be 168 grams. The 6 inch TFT display, as speculated earlier stands confirmed, as does the screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels.
As speculated earlier, Meizu has submitted only one internal storage variant of 64 GB for evaluation purposes. One will have to wait for a few days mare to know if there is an additional variant at all. The Android Oreo version 8.1 will be the OS and the battery size will be 3500 mAh with a provision for fast charging.
Meizu M1822 on Geekbench
In terms of the benchmarking tests on Geekbench, the new phone has scored 1241 on single core and 4775 on multi-core.
An octa-core processor with a clocking speed of 1.80 GHz will be the powerhouse that will run this new device and will get the support of 4 GB of RAM. This is what we see in the new Geekbench listing that appeared today with model number Meizu M1822.
In a slight modification of the previous description, the camera section will sport a dual 12 MP+5 MP combination in the rear and an 8 MP sensor for selfies in the front. The cameras support video recording at 1080p. Some of the sensors on board the new Meizu Note 8 would include Gravity sensor, distance sensor and light sensor. There is also the fingerprint sensor in the rear panel, just below the two cameras set one below the other.
In terms of the external appearance and design, the images show the front display having minimum bezels on all side and a notch on top houses the speaker and the front camera. The volume + – button and the power on-off button below it, are both on the left side of the device. You can hold the phone conveniently on your palm and operate these buttons with one hand.
Meizu will release its new Meizu Note 8 in 4 colors, black, blue, purple and red. The price of the device is still under wraps and will be known only during the Oct 25 launch. The strong indications, however, are that it would be in the region of CNY 1,000-CNY 1,500.
