US users of the Unlocked version of the LG G5 smartphone will be receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the expensive smartphone. The update is a rather big one and users are advised to prepare space accordingly. The update is sized at 1.3 GB and will feature the latest April security patches upon installation.
The Android 7.0 Nougat update will bring a whole host of features that will surely improve your experience with your smartphone. Among the features, it will have a split-screen mode and Doze improvements, to name but two of them. In order to check if your update has been received, head into your Settings, then go to General, find the About phone option, navigate to the Update center, after that System update and from there on you will have to find the Check for update option. Once tapped it should inform you if you have received the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update or not. If the update is received, then ensure that you use a Wi-Fi rather than your own mobile data, as the 1.3 GB update will take its toll on them.
The Android O will soon be arriving on our smartphones and, despite expectations, Android Nougat is slowly but surely reaching its end-game. While there are still those who’ve yet to have the Nougat update on their smartphones, eyes will soon turn towards the Android O and the exciting features it will bring.
Users who have the carrier variant of the smartphone should already have the Nougat update available for quite some time. Sprint has had its update released in the month of November, and followed in the same month by T-Mobile. Later one, Verizon has had it released in December, and AT&T had its own released in 2017, in February.
