The public is generally eager to see the new iPhones which will be launched in September, but until then let’s see what possible name they would have.
The improved iPhone X
Because Apple will surely not get rid of iPhone X, it is most likely to be improved and offered at the same price as its predecessor.
Rumors came with a lot of possible names such as iPhone Xs and iPhone X2, but it would not match the iPhone X Plus.
You can be sure it will not be called iPhone Xs due to its difficulty in pronunciation and iPhone X2 cannot happen either because the Plus version would confuse us.
To sum up, it is most likely that the improved iPhone X to come by the name of…iPhone X.
The iPhone Plus
Taking into consideration the way Apple has been naming its plus size phones, such as iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s Plus and so on, we can surely admit that the plus size iPhone X will not be called differently from the iPhone X Plus. Simple as it is.
What about the budget iPhone?
Hmm… it appears like it is even harder to guess this one as it is also the first time Apple comes with a budget iPhone. In order to cut the costs of this phone, Apple will replace the pricy OLED display found in the current iPhone X for the LCD one found in all the other iPhones, making it the most affordable iPhone of the series. As a matter of cost cutting, the device will also feature Face ID instead of Touch ID along with a single camera making the new iPhone an entry-level one.
A possible name for this iPhone would be iPhone 9. This would make sense as it would become the iPhone 8’s revealed last year successor and it will also make the difference between the high-end iPhone X and iPhone X plus models.
However, it kind of scratches our budgets because we got an iPhone 10 and the next year we get an iPhone 9. The progression will be kept logical if the next iPhone X will only improve and changed its specs and not its name.
This budget iPhone will be announced along with the other two models of the trio.
