Lenovo is one of the main Android manufacturers that are still producing tablets. In that context, their Tab 4 series has been anticipated for a long time by fans worldwide. Now there are two models available for pre-ordering, the 8- and the 10.1-inches one. The latter costs $129, while for the former you have to pay $179.
Both of them run on a Snapdragon 425 CPU, 16 GB internal storage and 2 GB RAM. Moreover, you also get a microSD card slot in order to expand the internal storage if you want to. Both of them run on Android 7.1, which is the latest OS version, out of the box. However, if you have a look at Lenovo’s history with the updates, you shouldn’t expect an update too soon.
The resolution you will get with either of the models is a 1200×800 pixels one, which is great for the smaller, 8-inches screen, but not that awesome on the bigger one. The camera on the front for both of them is a 2 MP one, while on the back you will get a 5 MP snapper.
According to Newegg, both tablets will start shipping on June 30. With Amazon, the products will be shipped within 2 to 5 weeks from when you place the order. However, some fans were rather disappointed by the specs the tablets offer. One user commented online that even the Nexus 7, the model released back in 2013, offered better specs. In fact, Lenovo has often received criticism regarding the fact that they don’t know how to innovate.
Even so, many fans appreciate the fact that they are supporting the tablet community so that people have the chance to use this type of products and enjoy the facilities and features they bring.
