You probably all remember the sequence in the Matrix film where Morpheus downloads the secrets of Kung Fu, directly into Neo’s brain. Although until now this seemed impossible, it turns out that famous scene from the Matrix is no longer far from reality.
Researchers at HRL Laboratories have found a way to stimulate the brain directly through the human skull. Although till now the famous electrolytes could read the electrical signals emitted by the brain, a new generation of these devices not only they read the brain, but they can boost it too.
In this sense, the first use of the new “electrolytes” was made in aviation, where researchers were able to transmit signals from the brains of experienced pilots directly into the brain of the novices, teaching them how to fly a plane. The beginner pilots have improved considerably when they wore the helmets fitted with the new electrolytes.
In fact, the experiment had such a success that scientists at HRL Laboratories are hoping that the new method of learning should apply to all courses of practical materials, including driving tests, or even learning new languages.
HRL Laboratories are kept in tandem by Boeing and General Motors, it’s clear that the interest of the two giants to develop a method of connecting their drivers/pilots to devices that fly/drive to neuronal level. In any case, based on how fast things evolve, there wouldn’t surprise me to see in a few years pilots who will pilot jets carrying tens of tons with the help of the brain.
