Usually, when a project on Kickstarter fails, there are rumors that those who made the campaign have spent all the money on booze, or anything like that, but I think this is the first legit case where this has actually happened.
A game developer named Eric Tereshinski, or ETeeski, responsible for numerous cool games created during game jams, decided to do a Kickstarter last year, proposing a series of tutorials on how everyone can make a game using free software.
The campaign was successful and raised over $ 4,000, but being a man who is not very savvy with finances, he asked the help of two other people, Staley Devon, and Tyler Monce, in founding the company.
Everything went well and the company even began raising funds for a new game, Ant Simulator… until… the two business partners have spent all the money on strippers, booze, and expensive restaurants.
And because this was not bad enough, the two threatened to sue ETeesky if he will ever try to launch Ant Simulator, the reason which leads to giving up on the development altogether.
The moral of the story: Don’t get into business with individuals who deal with other people’s money.
