Is GTA 6 Heading to Google Stadia Anytime Soon?

Google Stadia, the streaming service that would allow one to play any AAA title on any device of their choice is the big news of the decade. Microsoft is already moving to a massive ‘stream only future’ and will be launching two different Xbox One consoles, one purely dedicated to streaming.

In theory, Rockstar will definitely bring GTA 6 to Google Stadia when the game is released. After all, they are named in the list of developers that Google is partnering with. All major game developers and publishers are working with the company to ensure that the latest games are available for streaming.

This is definitely a big difference compared to the past because by paying $10 a month, one will be able to play big games like Witcher 3, GTA 5 and Forza on television, laptop or computer. Any device that supports Chrome technology including a Chromecast will be able to stream games with full 4K graphics. The only catch is that one would need a good enough internet service provider in order to go all UHD whereas, lower speeds will only help to get 720p gaming.

Playing GTA 6 on your Smartphone

While a new YouTube video suggests that the game will not be out until 2022, as a matter of fact, it has already been many years since GTA 5 was launched on PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. It was released way back in 2013 and 2020 seems to be more likely for the new game to be launched.

As Google Stadia has confirmed, Rockstar has partnered with them and we can expect older titles like GTA 5, Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2 to run on the streaming services. GTA 6 will mostly be launched on all supported devices when it gets launched on consoles and PC.

The PlayStation 5 is expected to be announced during E3 2019 but Microsoft might get earlier to the party if they announce their next Xbox consoles at E3 2019 which is scheduled to take place this month. If we could actually play the game on Pixel and other Android smartphones, it would be super exciting and it would be the dawn of a new era in gaming. Expectations are high for such an announcement before the end of this year. Stadia recently had an E3 meet and confirmed that the service is opening up in multiple countries in the following months.
