iPhone SE Does not connect to iTunes

One of the most annoying problems faced by iPhone SE users is that it does not connect to iTunes. The error message that comes up every time they try to connect the phone is: “The iPhone cannot be used because it requires a newer version of iTunes. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes”. This has been an ongoing problem and it has continued till now.

It is important that you make sure that you really are using the latest version of iTunes. If iTunes is updated then follow these steps:

  • Make sure that your iPhone is turned on
  • You may notice an alert on your device that says “Trust this Computer”. Unlock your device and check for the alert. If it comes up then tap on Trust.
  • Restart your phone and connect it once again to your computer to check if your device is recognized.

If none of this works then you must visit an Apple Store since restoring your device from a previous backup may not be an option if you use iTunes for your backup.
