Is iPhone 6s more waterproof than iPhone 6? The topic is always interesting to be discussed. The users have been waiting for the waterproof feature to come to the iPhone, so the water damage can be avoided. Many smartphone vendors have already applied the water resistant feature on certain devices, like Samsung Galaxy S5 and Sony Experia Z. The water resistance is not in the Apple focus and they’ve never talked about it. Apple always focuses on the main feature of a smartphone than something you can get from the accessories (the waterproof case for example). To find out more, someone on the Internet tested the new iPhone 6s and 6s plus in the bowl full of water for an hour. The result of the test? You can get the answer in this video.

What a surprise, all the iPhone functions are in a good condition, including the speaker, lightning port, and a headphone jack, which was in touch with water directly. It’s amazing! And its condition after 48 hours? Check the video below

Surprisingly, everything works fine! Does it mean the iPhone 6s more special than its prior? iFixit found the answer for you. iFixit found the new shield inside that prevents the water touch the main components foremost the connector. This is the Apple’s patent, which was reported by Patentlyapple in March.

“Apple Invents a Waterproofing Method for FutureiDevice s using Hydrophobic Conformal Coatings and Silicon Seals.”

But, what if the iPhone falls into the swimming pool?
