A problem that got a lot of media attention was the problem of the devices easily bending when the iPhone 6 was kept in the pocket. A user said that the phone was bent while it was in his pocket for around 18 hours. Apple suggested that the problem was rare, and it hardly occurred for many users, people who watched videos and heard reports of the bending problem worried about their phones. It turns out that Apple received 9 complaints about the device bending, and the company also invited the media to take a tour of their facility where the iPhone goes through numerous tests to ensure durability. The company also offered that it would replace phones that were bent provided the bending was done unintentionally. The media dubbed this problem as Bendgate.
Solution: Take the Phone to the Apple Store
If you end up with a bent chassis that happened unintentionally, then take your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus to the Apple Store and they may replace your device if it is within warranty.
Note: Some users also took to the social media to complain that the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus caught a few strands of their hair in the phone every time they made a call and the hair would rip off as they removed the phone from their ear after the call. This problem seemed to arise from a small gap between the screen and the body where the hair got stuck. Minor as you may feel, the problem was huge for those with long hair.
