iPhone 11: More Renders Out Confirming the Square Bump for Rear Cameras

There are still many diehard Apple fans hoping that the rumors of the next iteration of iPhones sporting a square section on the rear panel with the cameras housed in them will be true. The three cameras and the flash will be accommodated in a square bump, which will also increase the thickness of the phone. This design has been in the air for a few months now and many have been highly critical of it saying that it looks weird and when push comes to shove, Apple may not go ahead with the design. These Apple fans may be in for a disappointment since it now appears almost certain that this is going to be the design of the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max.

CAD Renders with More Clarity

The latest set of renders which have been shared on SlashLeaks has all three models, the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 max and the iPhone 11 XR. These monikers are still tentative as there is no official communication on what Apple plans to call the new set of phones. These renders show the front and rear sides of the phone. Most of the speculations of the past like the three-camera setup for the two higher-end phones and the dual camera setup for the budget XR model are all seen in the renders. It is still assumed that there will be the primary sensor, a wide-angle camera and a telephoto lens.

Would There be Two Cameras in the Front as Well?

Since this CAD renders include a view of the front display panel of the iPhone 11 too, it is interesting to note that given the way the large notch appears, there appears to be a provision for two cameras in the front. A speaker in the middle is flanked by two round slots on both sides. If this is the final design of the iPhones to be released this year, it affirms that Apple does not appear to be concerned about the kind of changes most other smartphone makers are bringing to their phones’ display panels. Apple will stick to its own ways.

Another factor coming through from these renders is that the speculation that these phones may come with the USB C-type connectors instead of the Lightning connectors is far fetched and it is the good old Lightning connector only on these phones.

Having said all these, the usual caveat has to be added that these are unconfirmed leaks.
