Now it’s pretty hard to set up your new iPhone. You have to manually enter all the previous settings, preferences, accounts and passwords, which can take a lot of time and can get you frustrated and angry because you may not have a perfect memory  and you may forget some passwords or accounts.

New Automatic Setup Feature Coming on iOS 11

Now with the new release of iOS 11 Apple is implementing the new ‘Automatic Setup’ feature. The feature is designed is such a way that you can have everything you need on your new iPhone in a matter of minutes. Here is a video that shows how this works.

As described in the video all your settings, WI-FI info, Apple ID and iCloud  can be transferred from one device to another just by holding the two close to one another and after that everything you will have to do is to follow the instructions the will be displayed on the  screen of the two phones.

The technique is very similar with the one when you are pairing a phone with an Apple Watch. You will have to use the old phone’s camera to scan an image on the new device. After that you will have to enter the passcode of the old device and that pass code will became the new phone’s passcode as well. Then, just keep the two phones close till the transfer is ready.

Don’t get scared that it will be complicated, is a straightforward process with simple instructions and it will take only minutes to finish it, not hours like before. After that the only manual settings you have to do are Touch ID , Find my iPhone , Location and Siri. iOS 11 will be soon released for beta testing. If you are a passionate iOS user and you get your hands on the iOS 11 beta please share your impressions with us.
