Remember when jailbreaking was pronounced defunct not too long ago, due to the fact that iOS 10 seemed unjailbreakable? Well, we might need to reconsider that one, seeing as an iOS 10 jailbreak actually seems to be in the books for 2017, and it’s coming soon if we’re to believe all the rumors and hype around it.
Pangu to the Rescue
Chinese jailbreak group Pangu is perhaps one of the most famous names in the biz, which made it all the more shocking that they’ve been keeping a stern radio silence on new jailbreaks for iOS 10 in the last months. However, Pangu has finally announced a new jailbreak coming as soon as iOS 10.3.2 will be out. According to the latest update offered by the team over at Pangu, the Janus jailbreak is coming as soon as Apple puts out iOS 10.3.2.
iPhone users from across the world were in shock when another renowned jailbreaker, Luca Todesco, announced that he cannot jailbreak the iOS 10, and thus is out of the market for good. On top of that, Luca advised all iOS 10 users to refrain from trying to jailbreak their devices, because the alleged jailbreaks that could be found on the Internet were fakes or faulty at best. Needless to say, installing a faulty jailbreak on your device is really bad news, because it can fry your phone or tablet up to the point of no repair (and beyond).
What has stopped jailbreakers until now was Apple’s brand new File System, the APFS, which seemed to make the new iOS unbreakable. However, hackers are starting to dig up flaws in the code, and thus a jailbreak for iOS 10 now seems highly likely, after a really long wait. Another announcement from Pangu is set to come this week, so stay tuned if you’re excited to jailbreak your iOS.
